Berkeley Updates

Friday, June 30th, 2006

It’s been a while since I’ve splat my brain on this thing. So yes…I was officially offered the job with the Berkeley Unified School District, and I accepted. As of July 1st, I will be renting a nice 1 bedroom apartment. It’s in the Dimond district of Oakland, is butted up against Dimond park (which is friggin huge!), and it has a great view out the back windows. It’s located at the edge of the Oakland Hills, so it’s in a nice part of town…at least according to one of my dad’s clients who lives in Oakland, so I trust her. :D

I’m not sure when my official “move in” day is…because I don’t start my new job until August 16th. I’m going to move most of my stuff into the apartment on July 4th. I’ll probably mosey back and forth between Atwater and Oakland until work or something starts…Maybe take a trip or two to Ikea and buy cheap furniture. I’m also going to research different college options. I am going to do everything in my power to keep taking college classes. I’m going to check out the local junior colleges (for now) and possibly online classes (depending on the subject).

I am very exited.

Sequim/Victoria Vacation

Friday, June 9th, 2006

For the past week I’ve been on vacation in beautiful Sequim, Wasington. There are so many things to write…I don’t know where to start! Anywho…Saturday I’ll be taking a day trip to Victoria, BC, Canada. There will be many pictures. I threw together a Coppermine installation so I can share the pictures from my trip here. Check it every now and then…I’ll be periodically updating it.
